The millimeter is one thousandth of a meter. It is the standard unit on engineering drawings, for rainfall, and for screen, sheet and tool sizes.
The meter is the SI base unit of length, defined since 1983 by the distance light travels in a vacuum in 1/299,792,458 of a second.
Use the formula m = mm × 0.001. For example, 10 mm = 0.01 m.
1 mm = 0.001 m.
Use mm = m × 1,000. 1 m = 1,000 mm.
